IMPORTANT DEBRIS COLLECTION NOTICE
When stacking debris for collection, it is important to maintain a 15-foot clearance of all debris from utility services and fire hydrants. This is necessary to ensure that hydrants and utility services are not damaged during collections involving heavy equipment.
SPSA HAZARDOUS WASTE DROP-OFF
The Southeastern Public Service Authority has a Residential Hazardous Waste Trailer available for citizens to deposit hazardous waste daily between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The SPSA trailer is located behind the Freedom Plaza Shopping Center off of Route 10 behind the Park and Ride facility.
PHONE & INTERNET
Residents who need cell phone assistance can stop at the ALLTEL Customer Support Center, located at the Disaster Relief Center. ALLTEL will provide unlimited calling and internet service; assist in obtaining new phones and re-establishing service.

EMERGENCY AID
The Health Department is providing tetanus shots to residents and responders who may need them at the N. Main Street location from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Call 686-4901 for more information.
The City of Suffolk is providing bags which include safety masks, gloves, first aid kits, hand sanitizer, information on health and safety tips after a tornado, and instructions on how to get medications replaced for those who lost their prescription medications as a result of the tornado.
ASSISTANCE TO SENIORS
Suffolk seniors and their caregivers who need emergency assistance due to tornado damage or power outages may call the Suffolk office of Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia for assistance at 925-1449. The office will provide bottled water, shelf-stable meals, and will coordinate transportation to medical appointments and the pharmacy for older residents in need, as well as those who care for them. The Suffolk office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and in located at 110 W. Finney Ave. in the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts.
VERIZON SERVICE
Verizon has established a dedicated customer contact number for those affected by the tornado. That number is 1-800-719-9488. This number can be used to disconnect or check the status of Verizon service.
